Letter to Military Families

From One Veteran to Another

A Message from W. Craig Bodiford, Desert Storm Veteran and President of K.L. Brown Funeral Home, Anniston & Jacksonville

Dear Veterans and Military Families,

First, thank you.

Thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and for the trust you have placed in K.L. Brown Funeral Home. It is a privilege we do not take lightly.

As a fellow veteran, I know that military service becomes part of who you are. The values we learned in uniform, honor, duty, integrity, commitment, and taking care of one another, stay with us long after our service ends. They continue to guide me every day, both in my personal life and in the way we serve families at K.L. Brown.

I proudly served eight years in the United States Air Force and am a Desert Storm veteran. During my time in service, I learned the importance of standing beside those who serve with you. Military families understand that better than anyone. Service is never carried by the veteran alone. Spouses, children, parents, and loved ones make sacrifices right alongside those who wear the uniform.

That shared understanding is one of the reasons serving veterans and military families means so much to me personally. When you walk through our doors, you are welcomed by people who understand the values of service, sacrifice, and commitment.

For veteran families, there is comfort in knowing that someone who understands military service is helping guide the process and ensuring every honor earned is properly received.

At K.L. Brown Funeral Home, it's our honor to help veterans receive the recognition and benefits they have earned through their service to our nation.

Through years of experience working with state and national veterans cemeteries, our team is prepared to guide families through every step of the process, answer your questions, and take care of the details with the dignity, respect, and compassion you deserve.

Whether we are assisting with preplanning, honoring a veteran's life, or supporting a family during a difficult time, our mission remains the same: to serve those who have served.

Thank you again for your service, for the sacrifices your family has made, and for allowing us the privilege to serve you. The bond of military service creates a connection that is difficult to explain but immediately understood by those who have lived it. It is a connection built on shared values, mutual respect, and a deep appreciation for service to others. It is a bond I am proud to share with you, and one that makes it especially meaningful to serve veterans and military families in our community.

With deepest gratitude and respect,

W. Craig Bodiford
