Koven has been a licensed funeral director since 1970 and a funeral home owner since 1978. He is a graduate of Jefferson Davis High School, in Montgomery, AL., the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science, in Louisville, KY., and the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. Koven serves as a board member and President of the International Order of the Golden Rule; he was the Past President of the Alabama Funeral Directors Association; a member of the NFDA Heritage Club, a board member and committee chairman of the N.E. Alabama Regional Medical Center and Regional Health Management Corporation; a board member of The International  House at Jacksonville State University; the Past President and member of the Jacksonville Exchange Club; a member of the Anniston Rotary Club; Administrative Board Member of 1st United Methodist Church of Jacksonville, and a member of the Advisory Board of Wachovia Bank.

Mandee is a member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Jacksonville and she actively volunteers at Kitty Stone Elementary School in Jacksonville.

Kevin has worked in the funeral business for a total of 18 years, serving nine with K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center. He is a 1993 graduate of Walter Wellborn High School in Anniston, Alabama. Kevin is a licensed funeral director and a cremation specialist through the Cremation Association of North America.
