Koven has been a licensed funeral director since 1970 and a funeral home owner since 1978. He is a graduate of Jefferson Davis High School, in Montgomery, AL., the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science, in Louisville, KY., and the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. Koven serves as a board member and President Elect of the International Order of the Golden Rule; he was the Past President of the Alabama Funeral Directors Association; a member of the NFDA Heritage Club, a board member of the N.E. Alabama Regional Medical Center; a board member of The International  House at Jacksonville State University; the Past President and member of the Jacksonville Exchange Club; a member of the Anniston Rotary Club; a member, Administrative Board Member and Chairman of the Staff-Parrish Relations Committee of 1st United Methodist Church of Jacksonville, and a member of the Advisory Board of Wachovia Bank.

Mandee is a member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Jacksonville and she actively volunteers at Kitty Stone Elementary School in Jacksonville.

Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Kevin is married to Debra Bennett and is the step-father of Brent, Zackery and Dakota Bennett.  He is a 1993 graduate of Walter Wellborn High School in Anniston, Alabama. Kevin is a licensed funeral director and a cremation specialist through the Cremation Association of North America.
