Koven has been a licensed funeral director since 1970 and a funeral home owner since 1978. He is a graduate of Jefferson Davis High School, in Montgomery, AL., the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science, in Louisville, KY., and the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. Koven serves as a Past President of the International Order of the Golden Rule and the Alabama Funeral Directors Association; a member of the NFDA Heritage Club, a former board member of the N.E. Alabama Regional Medical Center and Regional Health Management Corporation; Co- Chairman of the Board of The International  House at Jacksonville State University;  Past President and member of the Jacksonville Exchange Club;  member and Paul Harris Fellow in the Anniston Rotary Club; former Administrative Board Chairman and Member of 1st United Methodist Church of Jacksonville, and a member of the Advisory Board of Wachovia Bank. In February of 2010, he was elected to the Alabama House of Representatives, District 40,in a special election  to serve the remainder of the late Rep. Lea Fite's term and was re-elected to a full four year term in November of 2010.

(KL) Brown they have two daughters, Allison and Emily and three grandchildren, Austin, Savannah, and Tyler.  She is a graduate of Jefferson Davis High School in Montgomery, AL., Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM) and Jacksonville State University. Mandee is a member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Jacksonville and she actively volunteers at Kitty Stone Elementary School in Jacksonville.

Kevin has worked in the funeral business for a total of 19 years, serving nine with K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center. He is a 1993 graduate of Walter Wellborn High School in Anniston, Alabama. Kevin is a licensed funeral director and a cremation specialist through the Cremation Association of North America.

Cassandra (Cassie) P. They have two teenage daughters, Brittnean and Kayle Bowen who attend Pleasant Valley High School. Kayle plays the flute in the Marching Band and Brittnean sings in the choir. Cassie is a native of Douglasville, Georgia, and a 2003 graduate of Hiram High School in Hiram, Georgia. She obtained her A.A.S. Degree in Funeral Education from Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham, Alabama in 2007. She has been in the funeral business since 2004 and is a licensed embalmer, funeral director and a cremationist. Cassie is currently obtaining her BS in Business Management from JSU. She and her family are members of the First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville where she sings in the choir and helps with the Crosswalk Childrens' Ministry and their girls' participate in the JFUMC Youth Group.

Chuck Cummings, Licensed Funeral Director and Certified Cremation Specialist Email: klbrownfuneral@cableone.net Website: www.klbrownfuneralhome.com Office Phone: (256)435-7042 Fax: (256)435-2702 Chuck is a native of Jacksonville, a 1980 graduate of Jacksonville High School, and a US Navy Veteran.  He and his wife Cathy currently live in the White Plains community.  Chuck earned his  Bachelor of Theology Degree from Tabernacle Baptist Bible College in Greenville, SC and is the Associate Pastor at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Piedmont, AL.  He joined the funeral home staff in December of 2008 and is a Licensed Funeral Director and Certified Cremation Specialist.
